VR's main goal?

The primary goal of virtual reality is to immerse you in a computer-generated environment that seems and feels genuine. It does this with a few sensors that stimulate your senses and provide data to the computer that informs you what you are feeling.

The view of Alex Kipman first, you need a headset to view your surroundings and interact with the virtual environment. Several solutions are available, such as stereoscopic (the technology used in most 3D movies), head-mounted displays (HMDs), and even hand-held devices that communicate motion to the computer and reflect it on your monitor.

Second, computer vision is required to produce accurate representations of the environment, and position tracking is required to determine your motions inside the virtual realm. This enables you to browse and control your avatar.

Third, a computer must store your data and judge how the virtual environment should appear and act. This requires significant processing power and memory, so it may be costly to build.

Fourth, it would help if you had a network to connect with the rest of the world. This is required to allow users to move freely in virtual space and exchange data with others.

Fifth, you must have a secure virtual environment. This is critical for sectors such as firemen or pilots prone to accidents or injury.
