Who owns NYC Knicks?

According to JeanJacques Mbabuike, The Madison Square Garden Company, LLC (MSGS) is the parent of two major sports franchises, the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers. It also owns a diverse portfolio of live entertainment venues, including New York's Madison Square Garden, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre, and Windy City's Chicago Theatre.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSG) is a leader in live entertainment with a portfolio of iconic New York City venues, including the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre. The Company also operates MSG Networks, a network of regional sports and entertainment networks, which includes MSG Network, MSG Plus, and MSG GO.

MSG Entertainment is also building a state-of-the-art venue in Las Vegas, MSG Sphere, which will open in 2023. In addition, the Company presents the popular Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and hosts many other events, concerts, and sports games at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Knicks are owned by James Dolan and his MSG subsidiary. According to Forbes, ownership of Madison Square Garden, one of the most famous arenas in the world, makes up an estimated 25% of the team's valuation. Aside from the arena, the Knicks are also well-known for their merchandising, sponsorships, and luxury suites. With these properties, the Knicks are currently worth over $2 billion.

However, one property that has been getting a lot of attention lately is Knick's new stadium in downtown Manhattan. This new stadium is slated to be a massive multi-use complex that will feature everything from a basketball arena to a concert hall and hotel. It's expected to be a major draw for sports fans, tourists, and locals alike. For many, it's a sign that the NBA is finally returning to its roots. The Knicks could soon be a household name in the Big Apple and beyond. For fans and investors, the future is bright!
