Celeste Hedequist has a J.D. from Boston University and an M.P.H. in Environmental Science from a Columbia University. She received a B.S. from Boston College as an undergraduate and throughout her career has been fortunate enough to combine both the study of science and law while working in various institutions and firms.
Celeste has assisted in H.IV. research at Boston-based Dana Farber Cancer Institute under Dr. William Haseltine, and later went on to work for the Center for Molecular Recognition in New York. Her work there related to cystic fibrosis, and more specifically CFTR or Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Regulator.
During her career as a researcher, Ms. Hedequist receive a Graduate Research Assistantship from Columbia University School of Public Health in the form of a grant to assist in conducting a toxicology study linking various environmental factors to lung cancer studying the K-RAS oncogene and its various mutations.
