2010 - 2014
I graduated from National Taiwan ocean university with a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering. I’m an outgoing person and a team worker. TLOR is my favourite fantasy novel which I fancy adventure so much! After graduation, I stepped into work directly and joined evergreen international cooperation as a software engineer. I was in the ship-side team for the terminal system. When I joined this team, the revision project had just started. It was a big project due to Flash retiring and we need to replace it entirely, with the front-end being written in JavaScript/Ext.js and using Canvas/Fabric.js to support graphic visualization. Because there are only 3 members in this team and i was the only newhire, I was assigned to draft all the spec documentation which helped me to thoroughly understand the whole workflow and structure of the system. Within one year of cooperation under a tight schedule, we promoted our new system in the US. During this time, we coded mostly and continuously contacted users for enhancement and functional checking. I was also sent to the US to support and monitor usage locally. After the new system remained stable, we started to promote in Taiwan with customised requirements included. With more than 3 years of solid practical experience, from requirement discussion, designed/provided solutions to users, co-worked with teams to complete the whole system and came along with testing, it truly enriches my career as a software engineer. Hence, I decided to challenge myself more to transfer to the semiconductor industry, and it is a pleasure that I joined Micron.
In the first year at Micron, I joined an agile scrum team as a SQA. It was the first time to stand from another point of view on the development of progress, reviewing impacted systems. I used HP unified functional testing software to code the test case into automation and managed to create libraries for related systems which helped accelerate the development of automation. In additional to the test cases from developers, I also think of more scenarios and create exceptional cases to strengthen test solidity. Moreover, for efficiency, I also provided the automation script to generate related sets of test data which highly saves 90% of preparation time. After one year of SQA, I actively strived to switch back to the developer role which I’ve shown most passion for, and got the position in the next year. Since then, I’ve worked as a developer for almost 4 years. We use Azure devOps to manage our projects and CI/CD pipelines for the application development process. The projects I work on range from brand new solutions, API transitions to user's custom requirements. Since the process in fab is very complicated and many, the systems they are using differ a lot due to different purposes. As a software engineer, I adapted myself fast to learn from each story and broaden my domain knowledge. The more experience I have, the more thoroughly the solution I could provide and share with teams. To me, it’s not just work, it’s also a journey to explore what I'm capable of, from communication with people from different countries to conflict control arrangements with other teams. Hence, I’m really grateful for what I’ve learned in this company and expect myself to continue at expanding my experience in other areas.
