Now, Edward focuses on ambulatory/outpatient surgery. Thanks to his years of experience and skills, he is also an expert when it comes to outpatient spine surgery and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia.
Edward Fohrman’s primary mission is to provide patients with safe, compassionate, and efficient anesthesia using cutting edge equipment and techniques.
“I feel very strongly that the opportunity to practice medicine and help people is truly a privilege. Anesthesiology is very much an art based on science. For many patients having surgery, they do not meet their anesthesiologist until moments before their procedure. Just as important as the planning and administration of the anesthetic, is the ability to be there for the patient and their family. Empathy and compassion are paramount to helping them through a difficult, often scary time.”

Anesthesiology Residency
Medical residencies begin at the postgraduate stage of one’s medical education. What starts as a dream to find success within the medical field can quickly turn into a desperate attempt to simply survive another sleepless night on call in the hospital.
During your surgery, you’ll receive anesthesia to relieve pain and dull sensation. Before your procedure, your anesthesiologist will meet with you to discuss your medical history, current condition, and other factors to prepare the anesthetic best for you.
What may have once been disregarded as nothing more than a myth is now a scientifically proven concept: An optimistic outlook on life has been linked to a longer lifespan and increasing one’s odds of living past the age of 85.
Edward Fohrman currently practices in the Beverly Hills area of Greater Los Angeles.
