Self Introduction
I am Mao Yu, from Kaohsiung, and I am a positive and cheerful person.
My specialty is E2E testing and automated testing. My previous job was a quality assurance engineer at Digiwin. In my work, I have accumulated lots of experience in testing, designing test cases, and analyzing problems. At the same time, I am also responsible for the quality control of two projects. I have made great progress from manual testing to automated testing for users to use good quality systems. In order to solve the inconvenience caused by manual testing, I did an analysis of automated testing tools to find out the suitable testing tool for the team. I use Cypress in the testing work and I became the person in charge of the automated test project. In this project, in addition to drawing up the project plan and tracking the progress, I was mainly responsible for planning scripts and writing automated test scripts using JavaScript language, and executed the scripts after the program was deployed. Cypress brings value to the team, not only can accumulate test scripts, but also help find bugs, and help the team reduce test time by about 40%. I hope to use what I have learned in school and workplace to contribute my abilities to the team. Looking forward to the next stage of the career, I can continue to use my strengths and contribute my past work experience to the company.

The topic comes from the care for grandparents at home, and then extends to the care of the silver caused by the aging population in Taiwan. Although there are many related mobile phone applications on the market, after observation by the team, it is found that very few can be truly accepted by the elderly. So we hope to develop the App with more suitable for the elderly group.
- Product function thoughts:
- After personally teaching and observing at the Evergreen Center, after understanding the main needs and preferences of the silver-haired people, make a mental model that meets the needs.
- Transform requirements into feasible functions, including memo reminders, positioning functions, emergency help and other functions.
- Through the prototype test, we can better understand the audience’s preference for the app’s interface ease of use, color matching and font size, etc.
- Market analysis:
- Research and analyze existing mobile Apps on the market with similar functions, and after the survey results, find out the parts that are less suitable for the needs of the elderly
- Improve the functions of similar mobile Apps on the market and add our innovative application ideas to the App.
- Tool import:
- Issue tracking tool: Use the project management tools- Trello and Google Calendar to plan the project schedule and goals, and ensure the team’s daily progress and discussion time.
- Program control:
- Coordinate resources to ensure that the project can be launched within time.
- Testing:
- Test and eliminate the problem during the project development period to help developers understand the reason of the bug quickly.
