I didn't think I was going to apply for another job anytime soon, but now I did.
Because when I saw the position description I was struck with the realization that it was pretty close to what I am doing now, but with even more of the things I love the most and less of the things that don't add value. And where the work is focused to the hometown that I love: Göteborg.
For the past fifteen years I have been part of building products with a lot of great people. It has given me the opportunity to experience building something from completely nothing. My first software started with drawings, post-its and a blank editor window and is now still used every day by several hundred people as their primary work tool.
Starting out with building and architecting has given me a strong sense of direction when it comes to leading development teams with both developers and designers. I have been extensively involved in recruitment during my whole career and think it is one of the most vital management skills.
Real innovation is done in the intersection of colliding fields. Working with Energy and IT has put me in that situation for a long time and now it is accelerating with the electrification and digitalization of Transportation. A sector I have been following closely since starting my career at Alten where Automotive is the heart and soul of the company.
I am very passionate in my work and love to create together with my colleagues. To broaden my creative work and evolve my thinking I joined the board of the start-up Metry which has given me insights that I have taken back to my day job.
Designing great product is a true team effort. When I start working on a concept or product I always make sure that all team members have full understanding of the underlying purpose and vision to what we are doing. Together we define the core principles that will guide our way. This approach reduces friction and makes it easy for the team members to take decisions on their own.
That was enough about me, now what about you and the people in the team? I am really looking forward to hearing more about what you are trying to achieve and how I could be a part of that journey.
Cheers,
Jonas Bergqvist
