Financial Executive and Former Professor

An experienced financial professional in Illinois, Joseph “Joe” Petry, PhD, has served as the principal of Mayfair Financial . Throughout his time with the company, he has provided holistic financial advisory, short- and long-term strategic planning, and project analysis to a diverse range of private sector companies. For instance, Dr. Joseph Petry assisted Prairie Plantation in the creation of a business plan and its application for state licensure and evaluated market potential for a solar startup. He also currently guides Betterman Digital Wealth, Inc., in rendering client financial services.

Previously, Dr. Joseph Petry spent nearly two decades teaching economics and finance at a Big Ten University, from which he received his bachelor of science and doctor in philosophy in economics. As a professor there, he developed and taught courses on topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, business statistics, and real estate for undergraduate and graduate students. He also established a teaching-assistant program for undergraduate students who demonstrated outstanding skill.

In his free time, Dr. Joe Petry enjoys exploring national parks, birdwatching, and practicing meditation, among various other activities.
