Autobiography

Hi, I'm Larry Luo.

I graduated from the Department of CSIE of NTUST (Computer Science and Information Engineering of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology). and I went to the Department of Design to study for a master's degree, focusing on interaction design and information design.

I maintain the technical advantages in the CSIE field and cooperate and learn with my classmates in the design department. In the process, I also learned a lot of UI/UX related knowledge.

This learning experience gives me an advantage in communication and implementation compared to ordinary software engineers.

In the workplace, I started as a software engineer for mobile applications and continued to accept challenges.

I have more than 6 years of mobile platform application development experience, most of the time in the development of Android. Also have contact with iOS and cross-platform (ionic) development experience. Both Android and iOS have experience of put apps on the store.

Android Platform:

• 2014 in Walkgame: Maintained E-payment component for mobile game manufacturers.
• 2016 in XtremeApp: Implemented video editingfunctions including:
  • Vedeo acceleration and deceleration.
  • Cutting and merging.
  • Sound processing .
  • Android native hardware encoders. 
  • The special experience is to learn the Open GLES and real-time filters for the preview.
• 2017 in XtremeApp: 
  • Responsible for KYMCO's internal Android applications (number of 3).
  • I tried to use ionic to implement a cross-platform mobile application.
    The content is a shopping website for dropshipping company , and both Android and iOS stores are on the shelves.
• In 2017, all the work projects that I was responsible for were affirmed by customers and my boss. so I got the best employee of the year.
• 2018 in XtremeApp: Implement the customization of E-Paper's multilingual input method, and analyze the Western European language dictionary in AOSP (Android Open Source Project) in a short period of time to use and integrate for the five European language input methods.
• In 2018, I cooperated with E Ink Holdings on the multilingual input method project. I found a solution in a short time to solve the customer's pain points and the cooperation process was recognized by the customer, which gave the company the opportunity for follow-up cooperation. I was awarded the best employee of the year again.

iOS Platform:

• 2015 in Walkgame: Implement the Camerabay application 2.0
  • Display the streaming video of the live broadcast platform. 
  • The development of the chat room system. 
  • At that time, I was a novice in iOS development. It took only 1 year to refactor the old version of the Camerabay application and put it on the apple store.

Backend and Manager Jobs:

• 2019 in XtremeApp: I was promoted from a senior software engineer to a manager, I provided the Git flowspecifications and code review rules for the company at the same time development work is still in progress.
  • I started to learn the development of the back-end field (JAVA, Spring MVC, SQL, javascript), and learned a lot about the development of cloud service architecture and database design in the process.
  • The main work is the management interface architecture design of Line channel and the system development of Spring framework.
• 2020 in XtremeApp: We started to maintain the Line BC system of our customers.
  • We have dealt with the problem of output report performance, and the speed has been increased by 3 times.
  • The lottery game of high concurrency design.
  • The lottery game pressure testing experience.
  • Customers served: Fubon Bank, Fubon Financial, Mega Bank, Easy Card.

In May 2021, I leave XtremeApp by personal factors and career planning.

These work experiences reflect my advantages of good interpersonal communication skills and stable output and I also found my own new advantages. My software development learning ability and adapting to new development tools are very fast, and I can formally implement the function after learning in a short time.

I hope that I am not only good at the development of mobile application, about new technologies such as cloud services, AI, and blockchain are still growing. I am still learning and growing in new fields.

I joined the Acer group in 2022, and now I am studying in the field of Windows application development.
