Mark Ficek

Accomplished Nondestructive Testing Executive in the PNW

A longtime nondestructive testing (NDT) executive, Mark Ficek brings nearly two decades of experience to his position as the president of Metals Testing Services in Billings, MT. In this position, he guides a company that offers a range of inspection services, including x-ray, gamma-ray, and ultrasonic inspection. Under the direction of Mark Ficek, Metals Testing Services has worked with numerous clients around the United States on projects ranging from nuclear facilities to amusement parks. 

In preparation for his career, Mark Ficek studied at Lincoln Electric, where he trained as a welder, and then went on to receive training to become a Level III in radiography and ultrasonic inspection. Though he was offered a job by NASCAR, he chose to establish his own NDT company after completing his training. An active member of the industry, he frequently attends conferences, trade shows, and educational events to stay up to date with the latest developments in the field. 

In addition to his NDT expertise, Mark Ficek has a passion for personal finance and financial planning. In pursuit of this interest, he earned FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, as well as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Also an avid aviator, he has flown his own plane throughout the United States and South America.
