WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You’ll be based in our Taipei or Shanghai office and will be part of our McKinsey Transformation (MT) team, primarily focused on the Transformation Office (TO). This is the heart of the MT methodology that orchestrates all client and McKinsey activity to set the pace, the tone and to drive the transformation. McKinsey Transformation (MT) is a special unit of McKinsey that delivers a proven approach for transformational change to clients seeking radical and sustainable performance improvement. We are not ordinary consultants. We are specialists in transformative business improvement. We apply the proven methodology to allow us to rapidly unlock value. In addition to being counselors to our clients, we act as coaches, pushing our clients to do more than they thought was possible. Over the last several years, we have worked with more than a hundred organizations around the world and across sectors. Most of our clients are driven by a desire to capture untapped potential; others face significant external challenges or industry discontinuities. With ~150 dedicated MT consultants and ~250 generalist consultants among our global affiliates, we serve clients in more than 50 countries, many of which are among the largest impact situations for the firm globally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will be serving clients in a transformation leader capacity, coaching them along their multi-year transformation journey. In this role, you will own and communicate the impact, counselling C-suite executives on how to unlock their business and operational issues while building in repeatable processes and capabilities to sustain the changes for the long-term. You will apply the McKinsey Transformation (MT) recipe of leveraging a holistic, execution-centric approach, in addition to integrating the best of the firm. This means you will primarily be working with clients to set-up and execute a best-in-class Transformation Office and the related Performance Infrastructure. You will deploy a standard cadence as well as MT’s transformation management tool (Wave) and various assets/ solutions critical to a transformation spanning across organization health, capability building, digital, etc. Your work will be conducted across 3 standard phases: independent diligence phase (6-8 weeks), bottom-up phase (6-8 weeks) and implementation (12+ months).To achieve results, you will drive the transformation, i.e. integrate across multiple workstreams, establish the right mindset based on the latest performance targets and mobilize the entire business to achieve and sustain value. You will be responsible for ensuring that the workstreams fully and properly leverages the capabilities of MT globally.You will also coach senior clients, using a broad range of leadership and influencing styles, ranging from respected manager to motivational senior coach.
