As a Backend Engineer at Buyandship, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our backend systems and services. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize backend solutions that power our customer-facing applications. Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with product managers, product executives, designers, QA engineers and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

2. Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable backend systems and APIs to support various customer-facing applications.

3. Implement data storage solutions and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

4. Write clean, maintainable, efficient, secure, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

5. Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure system stability and reliability.

6. Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in backend development, and recommend improvements to enhance our services.

7. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other team activities to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

2. Solid understanding of backend development principles, data structures, and algorithms. 

3. Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Java, PHP, Go and Javascript. 

4. Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, Gin, Laravel or Express.js. 

5. Familiar with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL query languages. 

6. Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience in building and consuming APIs.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues. 

8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 

9. Prior experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
