As a Backend Engineer at Buyandship, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our backend systems and services. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize backend solutions that power our customer-facing applications. Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain backend software applications
2. Collaborate with technical leads, product managers, and business users during design and development phases to ensure requirements and deliverables are met
3. Transform product requirements into technical design and compose technical documents accordingly
4. Work in a team environment and contribute to the software development lifecycle in its entirety
5. As a leader, mentor junior engineers on code ethics and practices, improving quality and performance
6. Provide application technical support as required

Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Science, Software Engineering or related fields
2. Minimum 3 years of working experience in full-stack or backend development on large-scale/mission-critical system applications
3. Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality results
4. Exposure to microservice architecture and RESTful API development
5. At least 2 years of Python development experience
6. Experience in developing AI related projects preferred
7. Must process solid experience in using a relational database (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
8. Experiences in the following will be an advantage
8-1. CI/CD
8-2. Docker / Kubernetes
8-3. Cloud Platform
9. Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
10. Candidates with less experience will be considered for software engineer
