Faria was founded in 2006 to transition schools from paper onto a curriculum-focused learning platform. Today, Faria powers curriculum for over 10,000 schools & districts and 3 million students with a suite of 4 services. Faria’s multi-disciplinary team of over 150 operates globally, across 9 offices.

This Product Manager role will initially be responsible for the functional and technical design specifications for new features and functionality to our the revamped version of the company's in-house CRM platform. The platform consolidates CRM, billing, and provisioning functions on a single platform. Following the completion of the 6 month product roadmap for the CRM system, this role will be reallocated to our OpenApply admissions software product.

OpenApply is a modern online admissions office supporting every stage of the applicant journey from enquiry to enrolment. Our cloud-based interface works seamlessly across devices for both families and staff, streamlining the process and reducing stress. Today OpenApply supports over 450 schools in over 80 countries.

Responsibilities:
- Understanding the goals and business needs of the organization and recommending potential solutions;
- Communicating and representing requirements to stakeholders throughout solution development;
- Preparing documentation, such as Functional Specifications and Technical Specifications;
- Evaluating the value being delivered by new and existing solutions;
- Instructing, directing, and checking the work of other team members;
- Managing product backlogs and versions according to Scrum methodology

Requirements:
- 5+ years previous experience designing, architecting, developing, implementing, supporting and integrating business solutions;
- 3+ years previous hands-on leadership in design, architecture, implementation and deployment of application solutions platforms;
- Previous experience gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders including end-users and third-party integration partners; and translating these into detailed user-stories and specs;
- Understanding of agile development processes (e.g. Scrum);
- Experience with project management and associated tools including Jira;
- Fluent verbal and written English for communication and creating documentation;
- Understanding of web protocols, messaging protocols and web data formats: HTTP, TCP, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, etc.;
- Proven knowledge of UML/BPMN;
- Strong analytical and system thinking skills;

Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge, experience with, and/or developing systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications;
- Good understanding of SaaS types products and Fintech market;
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field preferred
