The Challenge

The Platform Engineering team is looking for an engineer to expand the hybrid machine learning data pipeline running on bare-metal appliances and the AWS components. As a Platform Engineer, you will seek to deliver a robust solutions that enables machine learning teams to deploy on the Ferrum Platform.

We are looking for someone who has the following traits:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Works well with distributed teams

The Role

How you might spend your time:

• Feature design and development

• Address quality issues surfaced by QA and customers

• Documenting and sharing knowledge

Examples of what you might do:

• Building the backend Platform Pipeline APIs enabling the machine learning teams

• Building and maintaining robust services on AWS

• Creating internal tools with SPAs

• Maintaining code by creating the appropriate test suites and regression tests 

The Technical Skills

Required:

• Experience in Go, Python 3, and BASH programming

• Linux distributions (preferably CentOS 7)

• Containers (preferably Docker)

• BS CS/CE or equivalent experience

Desirable:

• Knowledge of JavaScript (ES 2016) and React.js

• Interest in 3D libraries such as OpenGL, WebGL, and Metal

• Building and maintaining APIs

• AWS systems design

• Bare-metal appliance deployments in datacenter environments
