Backend Development Engineer

FreshQ is disrupting the industry by providing an online ordering platform that connects Restaurants, Customers, and Supply Chains into an ecosystem. FreshQ is seeking a Backend Development Engineer. The candidate will have the opportunity to design, build, test, maintain, and have a direct and meaningful impact on the roadmap of the company's digital platform.

You will be responsible for the design and development of backend components of the highly scalable eCommerce mobile & web application.
Required Skills:

• 4+ years building server-side web platform experience
• Strong Python programming skill
• Working experience with Django backend development
• Significant experience with MySQL database
• Familiar with modern web service architectures
• Experience with RESTful API and understand REST principle

Preferred Skills:

• Familiar with Apache and NGINX web servers
• Working experience in AWS environment
• Familiar with Node.js/ Javascript
• Familiar with HTML5/CSS
• Experience development under CI/CD pipelines (i.e. DevOps/Jenkins)
• development experience in eCommerce, online grocery, or online retail.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain the backend of the online ordering platform.
• Utilize Python, Django, MySQL databases and best practices, modern micro-service architectures
• Adapt agile development cycle
• Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are managed appropriately and that completed assignments are of the highest quality.
