Lumina is seeking a strong C++ engineer who knows computer vision like 2nd nature. The CTO should learn something new from you in the first 30m conversation.

Our founding team has extremely strong engineers from other disciplines, and already built an amazingly accurate and performant MVP over the last 6 months. Now you'll need to take this work to another level, turning our MVP into an amazing product by improving performance, accuracy, and feature set.

You will be responsible for building out Lumina's native image processing pipeline, which utilizes custom OpenCL kernels, Tensorflow-lite models, and Mac/Win platform specific performance optimizations. In this role you are expected to not only implement, test, and deploy changes to production, but also setup the tooling and development workflows for your team.

You will report to the CTO, collaborating on technical execution and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a well architected image processing pipeline
• Mentor a very talented team (not an easy job)
• Implement performance optimizations
• Implement other AI models that expand our feature set

• 3+ years building low level C++ applications
• Deep understanding of low level computer architecture and bottlenecks
• Prior experience deploying Win & Mac C++ applications
• Expert with linux based systems
• Expert with modern devtools such as CI, git, etc
• Excellent speaking and written english
• Bonus: previously worked with ElectronJS and node-gyp
