Job Description

We are looking for an AML Compliance Officer for our global digital assets trading platform. You will be responsible for the execution of daily AML compliance work including reviewing KYC documents, monitoring suspicious transactions, and producing timely reports according to our latest AML policies and the applicable law. Necessary training regarding applicable foreign AML regulations will be provided. You will work closely with our MLRO based outside of Taiwan and our KYC/Operation team. You will also be expected to assist in general corporate legal matters as considered appropriate by the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Keep track of development of applicable AML law and regulations. Assist in drafting and updating various internal AML policies.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, investigate and mitigate alerts for potential AML risks. Provide advice on AML compliance issues.
  • Liaise proactively with users to resolve AML alerts and suspicious activities. Ensure timely, efficient reporting of suspicious transactions to the MLRO.
  • Conduct periodic review, test, analysis, or assessment of AML controls. Prepare monitoring report. Ensure effective record keeping.
  • Coordinate AML audit preparation and inspection.
  • Provide necessary AML training to KYC/Operation team to ensure consistent implementation of AML rules and best AML practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AML compliance or legal work, preferably in the financial service industry.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) Certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure. Attention to details and good interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for understanding cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
