Firmware / Embedded Systems Engineer

It all starts with hardware. Occipital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Firmware or Embedded Systems Engineer to help build the hardware and software foundation of spatial computing.

The Hardware team at Occipital is a small, dynamic group with a variety of responsibilities. You will be working with Occipital’s computer vision, AR/VR, and robotics products, focusing on low-level firmware, host drivers and some application code.

We're looking for someone with:

• 3+ years of experience programming embedded devices
• Experience with electrical system debugging using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers

Bonus points if you have experience with:

• Optical depth sensing & computer vision
• Embedded Linux
• USB 3.0 devices, drivers, & camera interfaces
• Robotics & autonomous systems
• Virtual Reality - system design or game development
• iOS Programming in Objective-C & C++
• Apple MFi (Made for iPad/iPhone)
• Android NDK
• Mass-production of consumer electronics
• Cross-disciplinary competency in another engineering field, such as optics or mechanical engineering
