[台北] Business Development and Partnerships Manager

At TechDesign, we aim to bring the electronic supply chain online and make hardware innovation accessible to everyone. You will gain insights into our target customer segments – including hardware innovators, start-ups, and SMEs, market the TechDesign platform, and develop hardware project pipeline. You will build relationships and manage the commercial arrangements with key ecosystem partners, including System Integrators (SIs), VCs/incubators/accelerators, hardware communities, cloud service providers, and industrial committees/associations. You will be growing a community, and facilitating the interactions between buyers and suppliers in our platform ecosystem.

Job Description:

  • Analyze needs of our target customers across the electronic product development journey – from design, sourcing, to production – to sharpen TechDesign’s value proposition, customer coverage model, and web-based product strategy, to create a holistic user experience
  • Grow the buyer communities and business-develop hardware projects; guide the buyers to engage with platform suppliers, and realize and commercialize their products through our supply chain network
  • Understand in depth of, and build strategic partnerships with ecosystem partners in the supply chain (e.g. System Integrators (SIs), VCs/incubators/accelerators, hardware communities, cloud service providers, and industrial committees/associations), and integrate partners into TechDesign’s platform
  • Research and identify key market trends in hardware innovation and electronic end-application, to determine strategic direction for marketing and partnership sign-on
  • Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams to translate your insights and opportunities into web-based solutions

Requirements

Minimum qualifications: • 4-6+ years in the electronic product development/hardware supply chain management, or equivalent experience in business development, management consulting roles, with exposure to the tech sector (hardware or software) • Experience/interest in internet/e-Commerce platforms, open-sourced and shared economy • Bachelor degree or above is required; preferably in Computer Science/EE or equivalent • Language: Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) • Strong communications and team work capabilities; occasional travels required Preferred qualifications: • Experience leading entrepreneurial efforts, and/or project management experience • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment • Detail-oriented in workflow processes and resolution • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, written and presentation communication and interpersonal skills. A cross-functional influencer with ability to build strong relationships
