We are a small start-up that focuses on exploiting the more attention-grabbing and memory retaining/enhancing elements of computer gaming and applies these to education, especially in the areas of science and math. We believe there is No need to memorize if you can visualize and interact!

Company is founded by an experienced entrepreneur who has founded two other software companies in Silicon Valley, CA. Company is well-funded. Company’s junior co-founder is an artist whose main medium is video.

ThinkerStem’s first product is an immersive, multimedia course in Introductory Physics, specifically on Classical Mechanics.  Instead of following the more traditional theory-centric approach, ThinkerStem Physics enables the students to design and run their own experiments virtually, and then to analyze the data from these experiments in a simple, intuitive manner.  From such experiments and analysis, the basic laws of gravity and Newtonian mechanics are progressively and inductively (naturally) revealed.  This way, students are able to have a much firmer grip on the principles.  This heuristic approach to learning Physics is one of the principal innovations ThinkerStem is pioneering.

Taiwan is proudly known as Silicon Island for its world-leading and wide-reaching semiconductor industry. For this important industry to maintain its dominant position, it needs a continued supply of quality technical people. A solid knowledge in science, especially physics, is a prerequisite for all technical training. In this connection, ThinkerSTEM(益勁科技) is pioneering a very innovative multimedia approach to helping students in Taiwan to master the otherwise-considered-as-difficult subject of physics. Moreover, we take a multi-path approach to learning, so the students are able to learn physics, math, and English (all essential for a career in engineering) at the same time.
