Ruby on Rails 軟體工程師（遠端工作）

We're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer. The position is 100% remote, so you can set your own location and hours.

There are a couple of exciting projects coming up that you may work on. One of these is an app that integrates with the Amazon Marketplace Web Service (MWS) API. The backend requires lots of detailed and mission critical code, to synchronize transaction data between our database and Amazon seller's account. You need to be comfortable reading lots of API documentation in English and come up with strategy for getting the data that we need. You need to be familiar with optimizing background jobs, deploying fault-tolerant code, and ideally, be a DevOp yourself because you may be asked to setup a custom AWS instance. You will also be designing the API that the iOS app will talk to.

The other project is a next generation project management software, that utilizes Vue.js in the frontend and RoR on the backend. If you are a full-stack developer, that will be a strong plus as well. If not, you will be focused purely on the backend. 

I am a developer myself, and I will help you to make technical decisions throughout the project. I speak Chinese, although some communication will be in English. I am based in California, so you should be comfortable conducting video conference in morning hours in Taipei (9-10am).

- 2+ year experience with Ruby on Rails
- Expertise in clean API design
- Experience integrating with iOS and JavaScript clients
- Great attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to deliver clean and reliable code
- Degree in Computer Science or similar experience
- (Strong Plus) DevOp skills
