I am a seasoned political communications professional with a background in journalism, news editing and nonprofit marketing. 

I have directed communications programs for progressive statewide campaigns in California, Idaho and Maine, and I have worked as a communications consultant focused on media relations and strategic communications for U.S. House and U.S. Senate campaigns across the United States.

I have covered national and state-level politics for independent media including Common Dreams, Sludge and Lucid News.
  
I am interested in the intersection of social movements and electoral reforms as well as healthcare, citizen participation in the democratic process and the essential role of the free press in holding power to account.
