Purpose-driven digital marketer ready to solve tough challenges and make a difference. With a passion for purposeful creativity, I've made it my mission to help those who are helping others. Tangibly, that means I assist quality brands in developing and executing content marketing strategies to position themselves, tell their stories, raise awareness and build fruitful relationships. I've planned, executed and written web marketing materials and campaigns involving everything from ads, feature articles and white papers to whole websites. Part of that process has included developing strategic marketing audits, buyer personas and lengthy web marketing plans. The most rewarding part is that I've had the opportunity to partner with and help lead teams of talented creatives on these projects, experimenting with new and better ways to drive results for brands. Skills and specialties include: problem-solving, copywriting, content strategy and execution, SEO, social media strategy and management, email marketing, editing, press releases, pitching guest blogs, web analytics, conversion rate optimization and dedicated client service. Outside the workday, I’m an economics nerd with a passion for social entrepreneurship and economic development policy. I love trying new craft beers. And I balance the extra calories with a love of hiking & biking, tennis and soccer.

As we grew from a 5-person marketing team in a startup to a 20+ person marketing team in a 300+ person scaling startup, I led growth marketing efforts, then onboarded a specialist to manage our ads and SEO. SEM - I created a strong baseline of lead generation for several products using Google Ads and Bing Ads accounts. This included everything from account structure & setup to time-bound campaigns and ongoing optimization of Quality Score, budget, targeting and more. SEO - I led SEO efforts for CData, which despite being a startup, now has a strong, 60+ PageRank and has won category-defining keywords and topics. In fact, organic is the biggest driver of growth in the company. Paid media - I negotiated and closed media partnerships with industry journals and publications to support our brand marketing campaigns. Paid social - working closely with our social media manager, I also implemented paid social campaigns to support broader brand marketing efforts. Marketing Automation - I worked directly with the sales and support teams, creating our demos system and implementing marketing automations not only for outreach, but also for customer onboarding & success, driving higher MAL>MQL (PQL) > SQL conversion. All growth marketing work was oriented to increase trials, downloads and sales.

When I joined CData, it was a founder-led bootstrapped startup that was just finding product-market fit. I worked closely with our CMO in a 4-person marketing team, wearing many hats. If we published content, I probably wrote it — press releases, blogs, white papers, web pages, emails, product onboarding, you name it. I also managed our SEO, supported our programmatic, templated SEO strategy and created a resources section that won major keywords from much larger organizations. We punched well above our weight, and eventually, we brought in funding partners and grew from a 35-person company with a 4-person marketing team to 20+ marketers in a 300+ person company. It was a lot of fun :)
