Mrs. Pfeffer studied Criminal Justice for several years before joining the New York State Army National Guard following the terrorist atrocities of September 11th. She spent a year in Iraq after completing her training, earning the Combat Action Badge and several other awards.

She returned to school after her time in Iraq and graduated from Hilbert College with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She went on to become a police officer with the Rochester Police Department, where she received the Life Saving Award and the Key to the City for her service to the community. During her term, she was also granted a number of other concessions for other actions. While working as a police officer, Amy continued her studies and received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration.

Amy also graduated from Daemen College with a Master of Science in Social Work. While working as a private investigator in the states of New York, Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, she was able to accomplish this. She started her first therapy job with Horizon Health Care after graduating from graduate school with a perfect grade point average.

Amy Pfeffer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW who received her 
 MSW from Daemen College with a concentration in child and family treatment. 
 She works with children, adolescents, and families. 
 
 She has vast experience working with children and teenagers who have 
 experienced trauma in their lives. She is also a certified autism provider and has exceptional clinical skills working with children on the autism spectrum. 
 
 Amy helps to empower her clients to resolve issues, achieve growth, and respond to challenges in a healthy way. She uses a variety of evidence - based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution 
 Focused, Play Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational 
 Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Therapy.
