A graduate of Fayetteville State University in North Carolina, Barsheem Chapman earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. During his time at Fayetteville, he maintained membership in the Omega Psi Phi fraternity and was named 2004 Mr. Homecoming. Before attending college, Barsheem Chapman enjoyed a successful high school football career and earned a 2A State Championship as outstanding defense player. Since 2013, Mr. Chapman has served as president and chairman of the board of Chapmans Management Company, an independent management firm that delivers high-quality primary care and childcare, as well as support for a broad range of behavior disorders, substance abuse, and mental health services. He has also served as chairman of the Barsheem Chapman Community Development Corporation since 2007. As chief administrator for the North Carolina non-profit organization, he heads the operation of the Omega Academy, a K-12 private school. When he is not working, he enjoys hobbies such as cooking, playing football, and traveling.
