Brian Derrick is an accomplished healthcare leader with extensive experience across Pennsylvania. ; For example, Brian Derrick served as the interim chief financial officer of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Jefferson Health System. Brian managed the financial operation for Jefferson Health System, a large integrated health system with annual revenues exceeding $3 billion. His scope of responsibility included several physician companies and 15 community hospitals, among other facilities. While there, Mr. Derrick partnered with the vice president of insurance to operate an offshore captive insurance company. In addition, he worked with the chief executive officer to renegotiate the affiliation agreements among the founding members.. Brian Derrick also has leadership experience outside of Pennsylvania. For seven years, he worked with Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health System, where he was the chief financial officer. In this role, he was instrumental in securing significant outside investment by a minority partner reducing the debt to capital ratio by 15 percent while doubling cash-on-hand. In addition, Mr. Derrick improved the business acumen of the company’s senior leadership team. Before entering healthcare, he attended Thiel College, where he earned a bachelor of arts in accounting.
