Live on-site and provide year-round, high-standard care and maintenance of UHNW family's 12-acre forested property + 7.5K sq ft, log-constructed vacation home, and 2.4K sq ft caretaker's cottage, situated on the Rogue River in OR. The property included 12 acres of fully irrigated landscape, a 1-acre vineyard, tennis court, 2 half basketball courts, Bocci ball, in-ground saltwater pool, geothermal HVAC, smart home media system, dry sauna, and sound studio.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Personally manage and maintain all aspects of home and property and vet & hire subcontractors when necessary.
• Provide daily, year-round security.
• Be available 24/7 for emergencies during family/quest visits to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Prepare home and maintain fully landscaped areas in "guest-ready" condition for owners, family, and guest use.
• Offer VIP guests activities/recreational support: Fishing, river rafting, and any other outdoor activities.
• Arrange for chef and masseuse when requested.
• On-site support for media and or work with contractors to troubleshoot fully computerized Smarthome.
• Hands-on management of all aspects of the vineyard producing 50-100 cases of organically grown Chardonnay and Cabernet grapes, with a long-term goal of regenerative care.
• Maintain all vehicles to a high standard: (2) ATVs, (2) three-wheelers, (1) SUVs, and (1) truck.
• Routine upkeep and maintenance of extensive river irrigation systems, including winterization of the system.
• Annual fire-preparedness; create defensible space.
• Competent use and maintenance of Kubota tractor mower, and all landscape equipment.
• Report monthly on expenses, work oversight, and manage petty cash system.
• Vet and establish relationships with multiple vendors and day laborers.
• Work closely with local winemakers to develop grapes year-to-year. Advise the owner on annual changes/needs.
NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENTS
—Reduced annual operating budget by 30k by doing all landscaping instead of contracting out.
—Instrumental in procuring the OLCC wine license and designing a website for the wine business.
—Transitioned vineyard to organic and regenerative practices.
—Served the owners/family while they escaped LA to isolate in residence for 5-months at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
—Planted an organic garden.
