Presently, Budimir Drakulic PHD serves as the Chief Scientist and Director of Research & Development of Heart Tronics (previously Signalife, Inc.). Additionally, he is the Principal Technology Manager of this company. He also acts as a spokesman in connection with technical issues. He has held this position since 2006. His responsibilities include design, development, and integration of hardware and software modules for biomedical microelectronics circuits and systems. Over the course of his over 20-years-long career, Drakulic PHD was employed by many companies on different positions. He held a position as a Director and Chief Technology Officer in BioSig Technologies, Inc. Over the period from February 2002 to October 15, 2002, he was involved in independent research. Previously, Drakulic PHD served as a Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Acting Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientific Officer of Signalife, Inc. He was employed by Advanced Heart Technologies, Inc. and its predecessor Advanced Heart Monitoring as a Research and Development Principal, from 1997 to February of 2002. Moreover, Drakulic PHD has held a position as a Consultant and Chief Scientist, Medical Device Business Unit at Teledyne Electronic Technologies in the period from 1992 to 1997. Drakulic PHD has held numerous positions, including Visiting Assistant Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department and Director of the Microelectronics Development Lab at the Crump Institute for Medical Engineering in affiliation with the University of California at Los Angeles. In 1985, Budimir Drakulic PHD received the Marjorie Crump Prize for Excellence in Medical Engineering from UCLA. Furthermore, he was a Research Fellow with the Crump Institute for Medical Engineering at UCLA. Drakulic PHD holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Belgrade, where he also received a Masters degree and a PHD in Electronic and Biomedical Engineering.
