Charlie Steg is an American Modernist located in the heart of Hoboken, New Jersey. While he is primarily known as a painter, he also does extensive work with lithographs and woodcuts. Charlie works in the tradition of the great American nature painters using the landscape as the inspiration for his abstract imagery. In his work the outer world is internalized; the inner world is manifested in visible form."
