Corey Ribotsky has been creating and selling art works since 2004. He received his education at The School of Visual Arts New York City. Some of Corey's earliest memories are about wanting to draw and create. During his youth, he experimented with many mediums, as all have their unique process and finished product. The artist took every opportunity to create art during his school years; at school and on his own time. Watercolor has always been the artist’s favorite medium, as it is known for being the most difficult paint to master. In addition to watercolor, Corey is proficient in a variety of mediums including: oils, acrylics, pastels, pencil, charcoal, ink and block printing. Corey Ribotsky is drawn to a subject bathed in dramatic light and he can portray the luminosity of subjects’ best with transparent watercolor. Lately he has returned to some of the mediums he used years ago and has been combining them with watercolor to create mixed media works on paper. For the past three year, Corey has also been teaching classes in New York to students from beginner to advanced.
