• Conduct analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations
for timely replacement, including type of vehicles, spares etc in order to improve cost efficiency.

•Coordinate, administer and monitor the maintenance, repair,replacement and logistics of the Organization Vehicles.

• Supervise and if necessary, undertake timely repair and servicing of damaged vehicles in order to minimize downtime.

• Manage the inventory of spares parts for vehicles, in coordination with the Supply Chain Manager in order to ensure an adequate supply of spares.

• Ensure all vehicles operation policies and systems are up to date and enforced within field operations.

• Regularly review and update vehicle fleet related policies at least every 4 month.

• Supervise 19 drivers, assign them work and appraise their performance.

• Collaborates with Human Resources Department for effective recruitment and orientation of Transport department
employees.

• Maintain and enhance a positive culture and work environment for Transport department employees.

• Drive projects vehicles whenever needed.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Assist Dispatcher, as requested.

• Checking load inventories against invoices for accuracy.

• Ensures vehicles are ready for the auction by numbering and ensuring vehicle is in working order, i.e.Road permit , Oil checking,Coolant,adding gas and filling tires.

• Maintain daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports,dispatch and trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.

• Maintain documentation for customers pickups such as collecting signatures and tracking/documenting mail counts
and assisting with mail related questions.

• Performs industrial tank cleaning, utility work, facility shutdowns, emergency response, site remediation, rail car cleaning.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.


BMZ/UNHCR/GTZ

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found.

• Keep work station clean and safe at all times.

• Maintain a clean, safe work area.

• Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.

• Perform truck/trailer inspections.

• Performs a pre-trip inspection of vehicle condition daily and informs foreperson of any problems prior to beginning work.

• Works closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.

• Flexible in working various days, shifts, or hours.

• Daily Overtime pay for time worked over 8 hours.
