This is my 10th year working for FASTCO. I started as a FASTENAL A2LA lab technician, learning product knowledge and industral requirement by reading product/testing specification when performing inspection to verify product compliance, 3 years later, I transferred to Enginnering department, as a quality assurance, prevention is better than cure is my believe. Being a link between venders and FASTENAL/FASTCO, I work with venders closely to identify the root cause and corrective action to solvet issue occurred and educate venders to understand the prodcut requirement to prevent potential customer unsatisfaction. I noticed that the product compliance requirement is more and more common all over the world. REACH and RoHS are the must common product compliance requirement in our industry, all suppliers are confident to submit a declaration when asking by us. In early 2021, US EPA published new TSCA requirement, I helped to ask compliance letter of import venders from Taiwan, some of the supplier did not fully know the requirement and inconfident to provide us the complicane letter, I shared some informaion for their referance to help them understand more on the new requirement.I noticed that the knowledge level are different among venders,if I have the knowledge, I could hlep to educate venders to elevate the knowlege level on the product compliance. Which makes me felt excited when knowing there is an open position in Asia for compliance specilist.I have the experiance and ablity to solve problem and teaching venders when being a SQE, I have faith that I can do a good job as a compliance specialist.
