Douglas B Hoehn

Professor at Bergen Community College
"Understanding Communication" is his literary magnum opus, illuminating classrooms, and inspiring minds across diverse academic landscapes. Parallelly, Douglas B Hoehn's passion found a thrilling outlet in snowboarding. He was recognized as a virtuoso instructor and introduced countless enthusiasts to the sport's dynamic embrace. A cornerstone of his persona is his boundless compassion. This is profoundly reflected in his dedicated tenure with the Ramapo Bergen Animal Rescue Association, symbolizing his unwavering allegiance to the cause of the voiceless. His enthusiasm for history has also led him to associate with prestigious historical cohorts, often leaving audiences spellbound with his oratory on timeless epochs. His philanthropic journey, particularly his enduring bond with the Ramapo Bergen Animal Rescue Association, reflects a soul deeply attuned to kindness and empathy. His myriad contributions, both in kind and finance, radiate his magnanimous essence. In the serene retirement phase, he was ignited by a fresh fervor—a seminal exploration of the English language's storied past. This anticipated work holds the promise of further burnishing his illustrious legacy. "Douglas B Hoehn of Wyckoff, New Jersey, is participating on a panel at the Revolutionary War annual convention at Williamsburg, Virginia, on March 15 and 16. Hoehn and other authorities will discuss "Was Benedict Arnold More A Hero or Traitor ."The panel will discuss Arnold's contributions to Ticonderoga, Valcor Island, and Saratoga. Also, there are possible reasons why he agreed with the British to surrender West Point and his military services to the Crown after he became a traitor to the American cause. Hoehn said, "Benedict Arnold is one of American history's most conflicted and misunderstood figures." The panel is open to all attendees at the convention and will be available on history channels as well."
