Dr Richard Berg

Based in San Luis Obispo, radiologist Dr. Richard Berg has practiced in California since 1989. Prior to beginning his career, he studied biology at San Diego State University and began his medical studies at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. After earning his M.D., Dr. Richard Berg moved back to California and completed an internship in internal medicine at LAC + USC Medical Center. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Dr. Berg earned board certification in the field before completing a fellowship in body imaging at UC Irvine Medical Center and Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Dr. Richard Berg then moved to San Luis Obispo, where he served as a practicing radiologist at the Medical Imaging Center of San Luis Obispo and served as a consultant to other institutions including Atascadero State Hospital and Cal Poly University. He handled all aspects of radiology, from arthrograms and ultrasounds to biopsies and CT scans. In 2005, Dr. Berg joined Community Medical Imaging in Fresno and continued practicing radiology at the center until 2015.
