Dr. Dwaun Warmack currently serves as the 9th President of Claflin University. Prior to that, he served as the president at Harris-Stowe State University. With over two decades of progressive experience in higher education, Dr. Warmack has a well-deserved reputation for transforming not only colleges and universities to reach their highest
potential, but the entire educational system as a whole.
After earning numerous promotions in his field, Dwaun Warmack became one of the youngest presidents of a four-year higher education institution in the country. Under his leadership and guidance, applications to HSSU almost quadrupled, with enrollment increasing by more than 34%. Additionally, the university's first master's degree program was developed for the first time in its 161-year history.

President
As President, Dwaun Warmack was the chief executive officer of the institution whose main responsibility is ensuring that the academic, fiscal, and operational activities of Harris-Stowe are conducted in alignment with its mission and strategic plan. Dr. Warmack represented the University, in cooperation with the Board to the community and develops appropriate partnerships, which assists in the advancement of the University’s mission and vision.

As Senior Vice President of Administration and Student Services, Dwaun Warmack was the highest-ranking vice president at BCU, and was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the university in the absence of the president. In addition, Dr. Warmack developed and monitored a $32 million budget and provided oversight to 200 professional employees.
Dwaun Warmack provided overall management, vision, leadership and strategic direction to the student affairs division, enrollment management division and the administrative services division, which includes auxiliary services, dining services, physical plant, shipping and receiving.
Vice President
As Vice President and Chief Enrollment and Student Affairs Officer, Dwaun Warmack was responsible for enrollment management and student affairs. He developed and monitored a budget more than $14 million and supervised a professional staff of 140.
Reporting directly to the President of the University, Dr. Warmack provided direct supervision over 18 functional areas. The functional areas included Dining Services, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Counseling Center, Career Planning/Placement, Health Services, Residential Life and Housing, Campus Safety and Security, Judicial Affairs, Religious Life, International and Multicultural Programs, Leadership and Orientation, Student Activities and Student Success Center, Retention and the Dean of Students Office.

Associate Dean of Students
As the associate dean of students, Dwaun Warmack was a senior student affairs officer and reported directly to the dean of students, who serves as the chief student affairs officer of the institution. Dwaun supervised six departments within the student affairs division: Judicial Affairs, Multicultural Affairs, Greek Life, Alcohol and Drugs programs, Student Activities and Orientation.
Dwaun Warmack shared responsibility for managing crises and conflicts, developed and monitored budget, served as a member of the Dean-on-Call program and provided assistance to faculty, staff and students as needed and served as the institution’s chief diversity officer.
Director of Programs/Associate Director
Dwaun Warmack led and directed all programmatic efforts and co-curricular activities of the institution. As Director of Programs/Associate Director of University Center, he provided supervision over three professional staff members and oversight of Student Activities/leadership, Outdoor Programs and Lectures, Concerts and Exhibits, and professional development opportunities for all staff members.
Dwaun Warmack chaired or served on committees to coordinate university-wide programs including Welcome Week, Homecoming and Spring Fling. Dwaun monitored a budget of $1 million
and developed and implemented assessment tools for the department.
Director of Multicultural Affairs
In this position, Dwaun Warmack provided leadership in 95% of the cultural programming at the campus, developed and coordinated the Safe Zone Project for the LGBTQ organization, multicultural events, provided support to more than twenty multicultural student organizations and provided leadership over campus-wide diversity program. Dwaun reported directly to the assistant vice chancellor for student affairs.
Coordinator for Student Life
Dwaun Warmack served as the unit head and reported to the dean of student development. He was responsible for the design, promotion, production, and assessment of social, recreational, cultural, and educational student programs and activities that met the out-of-class needs and interests of students and enhanced the development of the University's diverse student population.
Dwaun Warmack's other responsibilities included coordinating more than ninety student organizations assisted with grant requests, development activities, and opportunities to develop relationships with alumni and friends of the University.
