Leading a high performing team, I am responsible for overseeing the commissioning and following daily operation at the New Acid Gas Removal Unit designed to treat 230 MMSCFD of sour gas and 800 tons per day of sulphur. During the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak, once the lockdown started, I immediately created effective and efficient systems to remotely manage the team on a 24-hour basis which maintained the commissioning activities on track and ultimately increased collaboration and significantly improved the unit’s performance which directly resulted in doubling the available capacity of the gas plant sour gas. I also collaborate with key stakeholders to identify new and review existing processes and procedures to ensure that they remain effective and deliver continuous improvement to plant operations.

In this role I managed an Acid Gas Removal Unit designed to treat 230 MMSCFD of sour gas which produced 282 Metric Tons of Molten Sulfur. I also made significant contributions by identifying and implementing 40+ plant modifications to enhance operational success; developing action plans to overcome key challenges and leading cross functional teams to achieve these objectives; ensuring quality assurance across the board. This resulted in the reduction of SO2 emissions from 3000+ ppm to less than 500 ppm in addition, the plant sour gas throughput improved consistently by 10+% per year from 2014 to 2017.
