Jean Claude Kabongo was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has an innate passion for art. He started drawing at a young age and is now pursuing his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from The University of the Arts. Jean Claude Kabongo is known as the "painter of light." Jean Claude Kabongo has created almost five hundred paintings in his time, not to mention the over thousand drawings and sketches. His prodigious visual memory allowed him to adopt one of the slogans of impressionism: capture ephemeral moments and exteriors turned into works of art. Jean Claude Kabongo is able to recall light and movement from a scene in an instant, later capturing it on canvas himself in his studio due how impressive they are with their innovations; today these pieces occupy a special place within some of the most important collections around the world.
