Dr. Jerry's passion for education emerged at a young age while growing up in Texas. Witnessing teachers' transformative impact on his classmates and the community, he resolved to pursue a career in this field. After completing high school, he enrolled at East Texas Baptist University, graduating in 1993. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and personal growth, he furthered his education and obtained a Master's in Education from Lamar University in 2002.
Continuing to advance his career, Dr. Gibson pursued a doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Houston, which he successfully obtained in 2015. Equipped with his comprehensive education and honed skills, he assumed leadership positions, forging valuable professional and personal relationships with fellow educators across Texas and the nation.
Upon completing his education, Gibson aspired to work as a teacher and coach in a distinguished district within Texas. Through perseverance and determination, he secured a position that allowed him to combine his passion for academics and athletics. Throughout his early career, Dr. Gibson assumed various roles, including teacher, head coach, athletic director, assistant principal, and, ultimately, full-time principal. Recognizing the potential for making a profound impact, he shifted his focus to school administration, driven by a desire to enact positive change in the local education system and community.
