A Northern California education specialist with a background in mental health counseling, Jon Vranesh teaches students with learning disabilities within the San Lorenzo Unified School District. Chairing the Special Education Department, Jon Vranesh oversees the assigning of case carriers’ student caseloads.
Mr. Vranesh also manages the master scheduling of students who have conditions ranging from autism spectrum disorder to emotional disturbance. He has an educational leadership background extending to past responsibilities as principal of Walnut Grove Elementary School within the Pleasanton Unified School District. In the late 1990s, he taught high school students as a special education teacher at the Seneca Center in Fremont.
Among Mr. Vranesh’s accomplishments in educational settings over the years has been setting in place a comprehensive safe schools program. This ensured that sites were well maintained and building elements were in safe working condition. With a strong professional interest in the effect that stress and anxiety have on special education students, he has developed mindfulness and stress-reducing programs over the years. With an active presence in his professional community, Jon Vranesh is a member of the California Teachers Association.
