His five-year spell in Spain involved collaboration with a UNESCO division, where he worked on educational reform initiatives, primarily for women, underscoring his dedication to sustainable and accessible education.
Upon returning to the U.S. in 2012, Jonathan immersed himself in public service. He joined the office of U.S. Senator John Cornyn, where he served in constituent relations and Hispanic outreach roles. He focused primarily on international and economic development and diplomatic strategies, which he saw as viable alternatives to Department of Defense interventions.
By 2019, Jonathan moved into the energy/utility sector, joining Baldwin Associates as the Head of Community Engagement. He took on many responsibilities, including gas price negotiations, managing franchise agreements, handling crises, and allocating philanthropic funds. Representing over 20 cities in North Texas, his team completed Dallas's first zero-net energy Habitat for Humanity home, a significant milestone.
