I have developed and deployed a school accounting system to these schools, all located in Chepalungu Sub-County. The system allows the school accountant to perform the following tasks; 1) Particular student fee data management 2) Generate Student fee structure according to the fee category wise and class wise, and invoice students. 3) Record payments (Receive payments and record expenditure) 4) Payroll 5) Generate a list of accounts and edit existing / add voteheads. 6) Generate Financial Statements (Trial Balance and Balance Sheet) Initially, the software was to be run from an online web server. However, each school preferred offline version hosted in XAMPP Local-host, owing to the flexibility of working without the need for an internet connection. This deprived the system the ability to communicate with APIS initially incorporated, i.e Messaging (SMS) and M-PESA API(For automation of payments via M-PESA)

I developed a web-based application for Shalom Sacco, Bomet, to perform the following roles; 1) Transaction Management. The software acts as an online treasurer, reconciling payments recorded both manually and through M-PESA API 2) Member Fining Allow the administrator to set up different fine categories that members are subjected to 3) Membership Management Allow members to be registered, and thus access their records online 4) Loans Management Manage internal loans to members 5) Reports Generate comprehensive reports to aid in decision making
