The owner of the tutoring company MasterLSAT, Nate Morris coaches students to help them achieve top scores on the Law School Admission Test. Nate Morris uses an iterative teaching method that builds students skills for the LSAT’s reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and logic games sections. Mr. Morris’ approach is quite different than most tutors, who use timed practice tests to raise scores. Instead, he repeatedly runs test-takers through sample questions until their answers are nearly perfect. Only then does he encourage them to work fast to meet test deadlines. The process reflects the way he learned to play music, which was to go slowly until mastering each note, then bring his playing up to speed. Mr. Morris is a dedicated jazz saxophonist. He has performed on several albums, including ones by Project Grand Slam, a group that has been in contention for a Grammy. He holds a degree from the Berklee School of Music, has won several scholarships, has appeared in festivals, and has received recognition from music magazines. Believing that a fit body improves the mind, Mr. Morris is a regular at the gym. He has performed deadweight lifts of twice his weight, as well as impressive squats and presses.
