This role was pivotal in supporting the Hospital & Health Service in managing and leading the organisation in our response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2021). Significant projects and portfolio items: 1. Job share with the Health Incident Controller to lead Covid Response Team and associated functions; 2. Design, development and continuous improvement specialist for CHHHS Hotel Quarantine System; 3. Design and implementation of a sustainable and enduring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) management and supply chain strategy; 4. Senior HHS relationship manager and liaison with the three District Disaster Management Groups (DDMG - Cairns, Innisfail & Mareeba) and other agencies involved in the Pandemic (E.g. Australian Defence Force, Australian Border Force, Biosecurity, Department of Agriculture, Australian Federal Police); 5. Design, development and testing of outbreak management plans and strategies (rural and remote, discrete communities, correctional centres, residential aged care facilities and disability services)

Major portfolio items: 1. Provides expert medicines stewardship, leadership and advice to our patients and internal stakeholders; and 2. Is the manager of a small team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants across multiple sites (Mareeba Hospital and Lotus Glen Correctional Centre);

To provide professional leadership, strategic direction, advocacy and professional clinical governance in the management of Pharmacy Services across multiple specialities and multiple facilities within the Cairns and Hinterland Health and Hospital Service, as well as that of the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.

Support the engagement and advocation of clinical staff with the senior leaders, manages and executives of the Hospital and Health Service.

Provider of specialist locum pharmacist services to: 1. Hospital Pharmacy Services United Kingdom; 2. Hospital Pharmacy Services Australia; and 3. Community Pharmacy Services Australia.
