Hello, I'm Tien-Yu (Alex) Lu. As a recent college graduate from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in Theatre arts, I am very enthusiastic at theatrical backstage management and technical theatre, especially for lighting design. I hope to have the honor to take care of any positions for lighting design, backstage management, electrician opportunities, lighting design, and sound editing. During my education, I studied drama history, front stage performing arts, background design (lighting, sound effects, stage design), and stage management. Also, I have participated in numerous backstage crew positions in PLU’s spotlight shows (directed by faculties), as well as their student-directed one-act shows. Generally, I can be an individually oriented worker, however, I am willing to ask for guidance whenever it is necessary. I have no problem with helping others. I have a strong desire to apply my knowledge and experience along with my enthusiasm to create growth and variable possibilities for the company.
I am familiar with using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, OpenOffice Draw, Microsoft Publisher, Keynote, etc. Professional ability is my utmost important asset. I obtained the GEPT National Inspection (primary) and TOEFL professional license, I also have proficiency in bilingual communication (Chinese & English) as my skill sets.
I prioritize diligence in my work, but I can learn with humbleness. Lighting, sound, and film technical work are my strengths. I hope that you can give me the opportunity to become a member of your team.
