Since beginning at Perfect Channel I have been the Product Lead on our Exchange Lite product. This is a new offering aimed at businesses to whom a lower cost marketplace is more suited. The focus is on greater re-use of components and reduced customisation. I have been responsible for defining the product roadmap, prioritising features and on-boarding the first client onto the product. Revenue from sales for our first customer have increased by 300% following moving to the platform. I am constantly reviewing feedback from new/potential clients, our sales team and other stakeholders to help guide product decisions going forward.
I am currently the product lead for the new labs team. The focus of the team is on innovation, quick turn-around PoCs or MVPs, and bringing a start-up approach to the way we work. PoCs or MVPs may be to help us validate assumptions (RATs) and/or demonstrate the product to potential clients as part of the pre-sales process. Current activities include; a PoC for integrated, context-specific chat and messaging; and an improved demo environment to reduce turn-around time during client engagement.
Our focus for 2018 for our enterprise product, Perfect Exchange, has been on moving to a serverless, microservices based architecture whilst delivering the product for our key enterprise client, maruFreight (a startup venture established by Mitsui & Co and Weathernews Inc.). I have been responsible for the User & Business management features of the product - registration, authentication, asset management, etc. With a relatively low volume, but highly engaged group of expert users & other stakeholders I have been able to get valuable feedback to help break down complex problems and define simple solutions that suits their needs and wants.
