The recipient of a bachelor's degree in aviation management from Metropolitan State University, Travis Hansberger began his career as an airline pilot with Mesaba Airlines and later worked for Air Wisconsin Airlines. After working as a pilot for seven years, Travis Hansberger obtained Certified Financial Planner distinction at Kansas State University and began pursuing opportunities in wealth management.
Travis Hansberger launched a Thrivent Financial office in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, in 2007 and managed it until 2020. He offered fee-based financial planning services and management of custom tax sensitive investment portfolios. The practice was the largest of its kind in the US.
Mr. Hansberger launched Millstone Wealth Management in 2020 and manages in excess of $125 million in client assets. He also owns a copyright for the firm's proprietary tax sensitive software program. Outside his professional pursuits, he supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Groves Academy, and is a board member with the latter. He enjoys fishing and attending his children's sporting events in his free time.
