Exchange Student 

     Personality and experiences shape who I am as a person. I am always full of curiosity in new environments, always being active to reach out to new people, and always willing to take adventure. For instance, I joined an exchange student program of Rotary club in high school and experienced a life of American senior high school students for ten months. I was unfamiliar with new environment at first, but I was not discouraged. Steps by steps, I developed problem solving skills and embraced self-discipline while I established a hard-rock communicative proficiency in English. Meeting variety groups of people from different countries and stepping outside of my comfort zone, I managed to overcome every challenge and broadened my horizon as a matured, independent individual.

     Simultaneously, extra-curriculum activities help me to cultivate various soft powers. My undergraduate experiences are perfect examples. My friend and I co-founded Hsinchu Area Students Association at Yuan Ze University; meanwhile, I was in charged as vice president. What I learned are coordination and interpersonal communication skills. Another example is when I joined the varsity of badminton, I was in charged as a captain in junior year in university. Responsibility of being as captain is not only preparing training schedule but also managing the whole team. With compact training, I improved physical condition as well as strengthen a balance of hand-eye coordination. Representing our school to participate numerous tournaments, my composure had been helpful as I calmly organize strategies under high pressure and rapid changing environment.
