I am a front-end engineer with four years of experience at LatticeWork. After graduating from the department of industrial design, I participated in the H. Spectrum+ incubator program for biomedical entrepreneurs. This experience helped me understand the importance of engineers who can turn design solutions into reality. To improve my skills, I took courses in big data analysis and taught myself front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Backbone and Vue. I prioritize writing highly usable, accessible and modular code to provide high-quality and consistent experiences. Currently, I have developed and maintained four SaaS products and over ten front-end projects.
My previous work experience can be divided into two parts:
Collaborative work:
I collaborated with UX designers, backend engineers, QA teams, PMs and managers on three front-end projects. The goal was to implement the feature of editing Microsoft Office documents online. The main technology was implemented by a cloud engineer in the United States. We worked together to ensure that various storage products could be edited and saved on different devices.
My written communication and collaboration skills greatly improved during this project. I verified the various supported document formats before beginning the feature. I reported bugs on the testing development version to the cloud engineer. I constantly iterated on the frontend interface logic with PMs and helped the QA team find the cause of bugs and assign responsibility for fixing them.
Independent work:
I was responsible for the front-end of the cloud web portal independently. To address the technical debt left by the first few major emergency changes, I proactively suggested and discussed potential solutions with my supervisor. Ultimately, I decided to restructure the front-end software architecture to optimize SPA rendering time, minimize API requests, and successfully cut development costs by over 50%. Concurrently, I updated the relevant technical documents on GitBook to enable team members to quickly begin working on the project.
In the past six months, I have read books and used tools related to learning methods, time and task management, and organizational learning. I have practiced, tested, verified, and modified them to better suit my own methods. I tried to write my own SOP and redesigned my Notion pages to meet my current task management needs. Additionally, I designed and completed a project for a tool that splits travel expenses for families, using Vue, Vite, BootstrapVue and Tailwind CSS. During this period, I also studied how to use AWS, GCP, Docker, Qwik, Figma and Canva. I am continuing to learn and grow.
As a front-end engineer, I aim to work with skilled colleagues and take on new challenges and responsibilities. I will use my past experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, problem-solving, and analysis to help the company while also further developing my skills. I 'm applying because the company's environment and culture align with my career expectations, and I hope to combine my knowledge and skills to contribute to the company and society.
