Trained in data science at Metis in New York City, Larry Finer has research interests in areas that include general computer programming, web scraping, data acquisition, machine learning, regression/classification, natural language processing, and neural networks. Larry Finer’s educational accomplishments at Metis include the use of a random forest classifier to determine the probability of flight delays, and the development of an autoencoder with convolutional neural network inputs to build a system that recommends works of art.
